Weathering the Storm: North Texas Homeowner's Reliable Partner
After a North Texas hailstorm, Inside & Out inspects your property free of charge, documents every point of damage in a dated photo report, meets your insurance adjuster on site, and compares the carrier’s estimate line by line against the actual scope of repair. We then carry out the repairs across roofing, gutters and painting with our own crews, so one claim does not turn into three contractors. Family-owned in Denton since 2011, GAF Preferred Contractor, with a 5.0 Google rating and an A+ Better Business Bureau rating. Call (214) 449-4306 — the sooner damage is documented, the stronger the claim.

How We Help Texas Homeowners Through the Insurance Claims Process
1
Free Inspection and Documentation
We inspect the roof, gutters, siding, windows and fencing and produce a dated photo report of everything we find. Hail damage is frequently invisible from the ground, so this covers the hidden damage adjusters look for as well as the obvious.
2
Adjuster Coordination
We attend the adjuster's inspection and walk the damage with them, so what we found is agreed on site rather than argued about afterwards.
3
Expert Estimate Comparison
We compare the carrier's estimate line by line against the real scope of repair, including the building code requirements that initial estimates frequently miss.
4
Negotiation Support
Where the estimate falls short, we support you with documented evidence, code citations and photographs. We are contractors rather than public adjusters — we document, advocate and supply the evidence, but we do not negotiate the claim as your legal representative.
What Does Homeowners' Insurance Cover After a Texas Hailstorm?
Most Texas homeowner policies cover sudden hail and wind damage to the roof, gutters, siding, windows and fencing, minus your deductible. The variable that matters most is not what is covered but how it is paid.
A replacement cost value policy pays what it costs to replace the damaged item today. An actual cash value policy pays that figure minus depreciation, which on an older roof can be a very large difference. Your declarations page states which one you have, and it is worth checking before you file rather than after.
Two things routinely go unclaimed because homeowners do not know to look for them: hail dents to gutters and downspouts, and damage to screens, vents and soft metals that helps establish the size of the hail that hit the property. Both get photographed during our inspection.
Comprehensive Storm Damage Repairs: Beyond Just the Roof
Hail does not only hit the roof. It dents gutters and downspouts, damages siding, trim and fascia, marks screens, vents and soft metals, and takes out fencing. All of it belongs in the same claim, and all of it is easy to leave out if only the roof gets inspected.
Because we handle roofing, gutters and painting with our own crews, everything gets documented in one
inspection and goes to your adjuster as one scope of work rather than three separate estimates arriving at different times. It also means one contractor is accountable for the whole repair, with owner Ben Chartrand on site.
The Importance of Partnering With an Experienced Storm Restoration Team
After a major hail event, out-of-town contractors flood the Denton area. They arrive in the weeks after a storm, work from a truck and a phone number, and are gone before the first warranty claim. Inside & Out has worked from a fixed office at 2308 Hollyhill Lane in Denton since 2011. We know Denton and North Texas building codes and permit requirements, we are still reachable years after the job, and our customers name owner Ben Chartrand personally in their reviews.
Where We Work
We work across four North Texas counties from our Denton office: Denton County, Collin County, Dallas County and Tarrant County. That includes Denton, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Highland Village, Argyle, Lantana, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Carrollton, Coppell, Keller, Grapevine and the surrounding communities.

Communication was excellent. Ben Chartrand came out to my house to assess an issue; he was professional, helpful, honest, and truly interested in making sure I was directed to the right specialists for interior framing. I so appreciated his expertise and his integrity. If this is how they treat a non-paying customer, I can only imagine the level of excellence for contracted work. This business is definitely staying on my future call-back list! Highly recommend.Posted on Google Bob KnippTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our church (Messiah Lutheran Church) had metal roofs and gutters that needed repair or replacement as well as other work done around the church. Based on the detailed inspection the contractor showed us photos of the problem areas and proposed a detailed list of repairs along with an estimate...and we hired them. The repairs that were needed to stop leaks and keep out squirrels were more extensive than could be discerned by a simple inspection. As they opened up the metal roof panels the extent of the repairs needed became apparent. Inside & Out and their subcontractor did not believe in just patching the areas that were leaking with sealant but actually replaced some metal panels, reinforced areas of the roof and reconfigured how the panels were attached to the structure. As a result, the roof over the fellowship hall is no longer leaking; and the squirrels are no longer gaining access to the attic over the sanctuary. Sections of gutters were replaced or repaired; and the ceiling of the sanctuary was repaired and repainted. Finally, the metal cross on the church building was repainted. I want to highly recommend Inside & Out Roofing, Painting & Gutters LLC to anyone wanting to have work properly and well done and at a reasonable price.Posted on Google Torrance BakerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Frequently Asked Questions: Storm Damage Restoration and Claim Assistance in Denton and Collin Counties
What does homeowners' insurance typically cover after a storm?
Most Texas homeowner policies cover sudden hail and wind damage to the roof, gutters, siding, windows and
fencing, minus your deductible. Policies differ on whether they pay replacement cost or actual cash value, and that difference is the single largest factor in what you actually receive. Your declarations page states which you have.
When should I contact Inside & Out after a storm?
As soon as it is safe, and before you file if possible. An independent inspection before the claim is filed means the damage is documented on your terms and you know what is actually on the roof before an adjuster sets the scope.
What kind of documentation can you provide for my insurance company?
A dated photo report of all damage found, a written scope of repair, the applicable building code requirements, and an itemised estimate that can be compared directly against the carrier’s estimate.
How long do insurance claims usually take to process?
Straightforward North Texas hail claims are often settled within a few weeks of filing. Claims involving supplements, code upgrades or a disputed scope take longer, and we stay involved through that process rather than stepping away once the first estimate lands.
Should I file a claim if I am not sure there is damage?
Get an inspection first. Hail damage is frequently invisible from the ground, and a claim that is filed and then denied still appears on your claims history. Our inspection is free and it will tell you whether there is a claim worth filing.
Do you meet the insurance adjuster at my property?
Yes. We coordinate directly with your assigned adjuster and attend the inspection, so the damage we found is walked and agreed on site rather than disputed later.
What if my claim is denied or underpaid?
We support re-inspection requests and supplement submissions with documented evidence, code citations and photo reports. We are contractors rather than public adjusters, so we supply the evidence and advocate for the correct scope, but we do not negotiate the claim as your legal representative.
